Galvanized Steel Props replaced Wooden Props in the 1990s. Steel Props is a safer and more reliable system. Wood Props must be cut to size and can only be used once, while Steel Props can be resized and reused in many different scenarios. It is recyclable and low-carbon and environmentally friendly.

Steel Props

There are two types of Steel Props, Light Type Steel Props and Heavy Type Steel Props. Both types of Steel Props are composed of a base plate, an outer tube, an inner tube, a swivel nut and a G-pin. If the environment used is uneven or not strong enough to bear the weight of the Steel Props, it can also be matched with a Base Jack and a tripod. This structure is simple and flexible, easy to assemble and disassemble, and each component can be flexibly matched to achieve the most economical and affordable effect.

Before using the Steel Props, you need to check the site to ensure that the site is safe and the Steel Props is at the correct height and load-bearing range. Use a level regularly to check whether the Steel Props and the platform are completely level. Even if there is only a slight deviation, it needs to be adjusted because it will affect their stability and safety. Before use, you also need to check whether the Steel Props and Base Jack are in a safe state, without wear, rust or missing parts. Check every few days whether the Steel Props is still placed correctly and reaches the required load-bearing capacity. If not, replace them.

Since Steel Props are used to bear weight, you must ensure that the correct Steel Props is used, which means that when you use Steel Props, you need to consider the weight they need to support and choose the appropriate Steel Props according to the load. In addition, the height of the Steel Props must be suitable. Do not try to increase the height and fill the gap with other fillers, which will cause the bearing capacity of the Steel Props to deviate. The load should also be evenly distributed. You cannot rely on a few Steel Props to support all the weight, which will cause the Steel Props to be easily damaged and affect the stability of the supporting platform. Therefore, when installing the Steel Props, you need to continuously monitor the weight requirements and make adjustments. It is best to involve a structural engineer or a qualified person with professional training.
